The Purpose of the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
The Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors conducts meetings every two months for the purpose of review and approval of applications for licensing of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. These meetings are alternately scheduled in the odd-numbered months in Reno and Las Vegas. Additionally, one meeting each year may be held in a rural Nevada town.
In accordance with Nevada’s Open Meeting Law, all agenda items and completed applications must be submitted to the Board 30 days prior to the meeting date to be included in the current meeting. No action will be taken on any applications or items submitted after the 30-day cutoff date.
Upon receipt of your completed application, it will be submitted to the next scheduled Board meeting for consideration.
Pursuant to NRS 625.385 & 386, Engineer Interns and Land Surveyor Interns are “Certified” by the Nevada Board, not licensed. Read NRS 625.385.2 to review the work a Nevada Intern is qualified to perform.
PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to contact the Board regarding the status of your application.
You will receive written notification of the Board’s action on your application the week after the Board meeting.
